Assemblies are an important part of life at Fountaindale School and provide opportunities for pupils, staff and the wider school community to come together regularly. Through our assembly programme, pupils explore a range of important themes, celebrate achievements and learn about events and initiatives that are important both within school and beyond.

Our assemblies support pupils to develop their understanding of the world around them through topics linked to our Rights Respecting School work, personal development, British Values, wellbeing, diversity, current events and national awareness days. Assemblies are carefully adapted to meet the needs of our learners and encourage participation through a range of communication methods and engaging activities.

In addition to our regular assemblies, we hold celebration assemblies every Friday afternoon to recognise pupil achievements, positive attitudes, personal milestones and successes both in and out of school. 

Through our assembly programme, we aim to develop pupils' Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) understanding and promote the values that help them become active, respectful and responsible members of their communities.

Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from Religious Education, Collective Worship or both. If you wish to discuss this or explore alternative arrangements, please contact the Headteacher.
